Do You Need a Property Survey Before Fencing?

Not every project needs one, but a current survey is the clearest way to confirm exactly where your property line sits before we install. This is true especially on older lots, or where a previous fence might not have been built exactly on the line.

When a survey matters most

• Fences going up on or near a shared property line
• Lots where a previous fence looks like it may be off the actual line
• New construction or recently subdivided lots with no fence history to reference
• Properties near a drainage easement or floodplain, where the exact line affects what’s buildable
