What a Typical DRC Packet Includes

Most Woodlands village and HOA architectural review packets ask for a current survey or site plan, a drawing or spec sheet of the fence, the proposed height, and the stain color if it’s wood. We help assemble these as part of The Woodlands or HOA-neighborhood install.

What Texas Law Actually Says

Texas Property Code §202.023 limits what an HOA can restrict when it comes to certain security measures and fencing, but it does not set a statewide 45-day “deemed approved” deadline for architectural review – that’s a common misconception. The 45-day figure that does apply in The Woodlands comes from the Township’s own recorded development standards, and there, no response within 45 days of a complete application is treated as a denial, not an automatic approval. Don’t start construction assuming silence means yes.
