What types of fences do you install?

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Book a free estimate online or call 281-973-3884. We can often provide a high-level phone estimate, but most final quotes will come after an onsite measurement.

What is the process from estimate to finished fence?

How long does installation take?

Most residential installs take one to three days depending on material and length. Many cedar privacy fences in subdivisions can be completed in a single day. Larger properties, ranch fencing, and projects that need a permit or HOA approval first take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at your estimate.

Do you set posts in concrete?

Yes, on every job. We set posts a minimum of 24″ deep and use 80lbs of concrete. That goes up as the height of the fence (and depth of the holes) increases. It matters even more here because of our clay soil. See why fence posts fail in Houston clay soil.

Do you remove and haul away the old fence?

Yes, as part of a full replacement. Mention it at your estimate so it’s in your written quote. Our pricing guide shows what affects cost.

Do you call Texas 811 before digging?

Yes, on every job. It’s free, it’s required by law, and it keeps us from hitting a gas, water, or electric line. Details are on our Texas 811 page.

Do you need a copy of my property survey?

Not for every project, but a survey is the clearest way to confirm where your property line sits before we install. See do you need a property survey.

Permits, HOA & Property Lines

Do I need a permit to build a fence?

It depends on whether you’re in the City of Houston, unincorporated county, or a township like The Woodlands. Fence permits by jurisdiction breaks down each one.

What if my lot is in a flood zone or near a drainage easement?

Extra rules can apply, and a fence built in a drainage easement can be ordered removed. Read flood zone & drainage easement fencing before you build.

Does my HOA need to approve my fence?

Who pays for a fence on the property line?

How much does a fence cost in north Houston?

What material should I choose?

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through Hearth. Hearth provides options for applications with credit scores of 550+. Applicants with a credit score of 680 or above may qualify for 0% options, though exact rates and terms depend on your application. Our financing page has the details.

How long will a fence last in north Houston?

Should I use steel posts with a wood fence? What’s a rot board?

Both are common upgrades against our clay soil and humidity. We use rot board on every wood fence we build, unless the customer insists on excluding it. What fence is best for dogs?

Board-on-board wood privacy, vinyl privacy, and chain link with a bottom rail set close to the ground are common choices. Tell us your dog’s size and habits at the estimate. See best fence for dogs.

Pools, Gates, Repairs & Warranty

What are the pool fence requirements in Texas/Houston?

Do you install walk gates and driveway gates? How about custom gates?

Yes, yes, and yes. See our gates page. We fabricate most walk gates onsite. For more ornate custom metal gates, we fabricate those offsite ahead of time.

Do you install automatic gate openers?

Absolutely. We can source and install both solar and wired automatic openers for your gates.

Do you repair or stain existing fences?

What warranty do you provide?

Every installation we complete is covered by an 18-month limited workmanship warranty, starting on the day the project is completed. If a problem comes directly from improper installation by our crew within that window, we’ll repair or correct the affected area at no cost to you.

The warranty covers workmanship only. It doesn’t cover damage or deterioration from acts of God (hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, lightning, or other natural events), weather conditions like high winds, heavy rain, extreme temperatures, or storm damage, normal aging or wear of materials, customer misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized repairs and modifications, soil movement, ground shifting, heaving, or erosion, impact from outside forces like vehicles, equipment, or fallen trees and branches, or tree roots and vegetation overgrowth. That list isn’t exhaustive.

Manufacturer warranties on materials like lumber, metal, hardware, and composite products come directly from the manufacturer and are separate from ours. Coverage and terms vary by manufacturer.

To submit a claim, contact us with a brief description of the issue and clear photos of the affected area. We’ll schedule an inspection to evaluate the claim and determine whether it’s covered.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry General Liability and Workers’ Compensation insurance on every job.

How do you handle problems after installation?

Contact us with a brief description of the issue and clear photos of the affected area, and we’ll schedule an inspection to see whether it’s covered by our workmanship warranty. For repairs outside of warranty, see fence repair & replacement.

The most common reason for a revisit is due to a gate no longer latching correctly. That’s expected as the fence posts settle and we are always happy to come out and make a gate adjustment free of charge.

What should I ask before hiring any fence contractor?
