Fence Company in Klein & Gleannloch Farms
From the wooded 1970s streets of Memorial Northwest to the golf and lake lots of Gleannloch Farms, we build fences that suit the yard and pass HOA review.
About This Area
Five Decades of Neighborhoods in One ZIP Code
This service area covers 77379, the Klein side of Spring.
The subdivisions here went up over roughly fifty years. Memorial Northwest started in 1970. Gleannloch Farms, built on ground that was once part of a famous Arabian horse farm, did not finish until 2017. So one street may still have a fence from the late 1970s while another has one put up in the last decade, and the right advice is different for each.
Permits
County Rules Apply Here, Not City Rules
Addresses in 77379 say Spring, but there is no City of Spring. The area is unincorporated Harris County, so City of Houston fence rules do not apply. Harris County’s Office of the County Engineer says a residential fence outside the special flood hazard area needs no permit. Inside that mapped floodplain, the county counts a fence as development, and development needs a permit.
Parts of 77379 have flooded before, so we check every lot against the FEMA flood map before we quote. When a permit applies, we are happy to apply where the county allows it, and if we pay the fee it is passed through to you. Sometimes the homeowner has to submit. Either way, we help prepare the drawings and paperwork. Our permits by jurisdiction guide has the details, and the flood zone and easement page explains why drainage easements matter as much as the flood map.
HOA Patterns
Expect Deed Restrictions, Organized Different Ways
Nearly every subdivision we work in here has deed restrictions, but they are not set up the same way. Memorial Northwest writes its restrictions section by section, and its Architectural Control Committee reviews every exterior improvement. Gleannloch Farms has a master community association, yet some smaller enclaves carrying the Gleannloch name file as separate homeowners associations with the state.
HOA approval and the county permit are two separate steps, and one does not stand in for the other. We put together the drawing, height, material and stain color for your application, and most associations want the homeowner to file it. Our HOA fencing guide shows what a typical review packet includes.
Neighborhoods
Klein Neighborhoods We Serve
Gleannloch Farms
A master-planned community near Spring Cypress Road and Champion Forest Drive, laid out on land tied to Douglas and Margaret Marshall’s Arabian horse farm. The 27-hole Gleannloch Pines Golf Club opened in 1999, and the equestrian center is still part of the amenity list. Course, lake and interior lots each need a different kind of fence. Fence installation in Gleannloch Farms.
Memorial Northwest
About 2,088 single-family homes near Louetta Road and Champion Forest Drive, on large lots with mature trees and no sidewalks. Each recorded section has its own deed restrictions, and the association has required cedar pickets. Fence installation in Memorial Northwest.
Kleinwood
Kleinwood is one of the smaller subdivisions in 77379. HAR lists 448 single-family homes with a median lot of about 8,400 square feet and a median build year of 1977, and the neighborhood has its own municipal utility district. Community Impact lists pools and tennis courts as its amenities. A wood fence from the original construction era is overdue for a close look, especially at the posts, since Houston clay is hard on them. Where a Kleinwood back fence is shared with a neighbor, we can bill each household separately or break out the shared run’s cost.
Wimbledon Estates and Racquet Club
Community Impact counts 618 single-family homes in Wimbledon Estates near Cypresswood Drive and Stuebner Airline Road, within walking distance of Meyer Park. The neighborhood built out in 1988, and its amenities include hike and bike trails, a pool, tennis courts and the Giammalva Tennis Club. We have not found its fence guidelines online, so we confirm the current deed restrictions with the association before drawing a plan.
Glenn Haven Estates
Glenn Haven Estates sits just south of Spring Cypress Road and east of Highway 249. It finished building in 2007, has an active homeowners association and a community park. Fences here are younger than in most of 77379, so a targeted repair is often worth pricing before a full replacement. Our repair and replacement page explains how we make that call.
What We Build
Common Fence Jobs in Klein and Gleannloch Farms
Golf and lake lots
Ornamental aluminum or steel keeps a fairway or water view open. Aluminum won’t rust but can pit; steel is the heavier option. Compare the two.
Cedar privacy
Our wood builds use a 3-rail design, a 6-inch rot board, Simpson brackets and hot-dipped galvanized ring-shank nails. Cedar and wood fencing.
Pool barriers
A backyard pool needs a barrier with self-closing, self-latching gates, and most jurisdictions inspect it. Pool fence basics.
Storm repairs
After a wind event, we document the damage and give you a written estimate for your claim. Insurance guide.
